About Me

I am a journalism student at the University of Tennessee born and raised in Knoxville. I have been pursuing journalism since I was in high school, getting my start working for my high school newspaper. In college, I joined the Daily Beacon as a contributor and quickly became a staff writer. I am currently serving as the sports editor and am covering basketball and baseball.

Along with my work for the Beacon, I also have freelanced with various companies. I covered high school football for the Mountain Press during my junior year and am currently covering high school sports in a freelance position for the Maryville Daily Times. I also spent time freelancing for Saturdays Down South as a breaking news writer.

I have also been interning with Torchbearer Magazine, the alumni magazine at UT, during my senior year. In this role I have written several feature pieces while working on my editing skills.

Upon graduation, I am looking to continue covering sports, whether that be here in Knoxville or somewhere else.
